Hedge Cutting

As a general rule most hedges, shrubs or bushes are cut twice a year. Some hedges, shrubs or bushes will need to be cut more often. These tend to be close to walk ways or where car are parked. Some slower growing hedges, shrubs or bushes will only need to be cut once a year.

We will always try and get the first cut on all hedges, shrubs or bushes finished by the first of July. If there are any hedges, shrubs or bushes that have not been cut by the 1st July and you feel that they would benefit from being trimmed then please contact us. The second cut will be carried out after the end of the growing season or sooner. Also if there are any hedges, shrubs or bushes that are causing a nuisance at any time then you can also contact us and we will endeavour to investigate.

Roses. Roses and other plants are often planted by residents, sometimes in memory of a loved one. If you have planted a rose or any other plant and would prefer to look after it yourself, then please contact us. Roses will be trimmed usually at the end of the growing season (November/December) or in March.

Windows door & Walk ways. Sometimes when shrubs, plants or bushes are growing close to windows, doors or walkways they can cause problems. In such cases we sometimes have to cut these back even when in flower.

If there are questions you have regarding hedges, shrubs or bushes that have not been answered above then please contact us .
